East Hampton
1968 -1975.
In March of 1967 Rosenquist moved with his family to East Hampton, New York. Here he built a studio while he also maintained the Broome Street studio. It was in the East Hampton studio that Rosenquist produced the second of his four-wall installation paintings Horse Blinders (1968-69). As with F-111 four years earlier, Horse Blinders was designed specifically for the front room of the Leo Castelli Gallery at 4 East 77th Street in Manhattan.
